Choose the work you can prove
Customer service evidence is strongest when it explains the person’s need and your response. For the technical support roles, add the diagnosis, prioritisation or service improvement behind the outcome. Keep each written answer focused on the actual question and its word limit.
The new contact centre opportunities in Dubbo and Parkes involve helping transport customers, while TAFE’s senior support pools call for technical service experience. An example of resolving a difficult enquiry will need different detail from an example of diagnosing a recurring IT problem. Read the checklist for the role you choose before adapting your CV.
Build a specific application example
'I delivered excellent customer service' tells the panel little about the situation or your judgement. Take one real enquiry or complaint and explain what the customer needed, why the answer was difficult and how you checked the relevant information. Show how you explained the options, protected private information and followed through. Finish with what happened for the customer, using the outcome you can prove; that gives the panel something concrete to assess.
