11 NSW Government Job Ads Hiring for Multiple Positions

11 NSW Government Job Ads Hiring for Multiple Positions
In this guide

Transport for NSW is recruiting two Business Analysts, while Corrective Services NSW has six ongoing Learning and Development Officer positions. There are also opportunities to inspect housing maintenance, investigate rental-market breaches and help protect threatened species. Every ad in this list explicitly describes more than one current position.

We’ve put together this 20 October shortlist to help you compare the work behind those vacancies. The advertised closing dates run from 23 to 29 October 2026, so start with the roles that match your experience and check their application requirements before setting aside time to write. Several employers also mention future talent pools; the current positions described below are the reason we’ve included them.

Where your experience could fit

If your background is in customer service, compare the Contact Centre Agent positions in Dubbo and Parkes with the Customer Support Officer roles in Parramatta. Transport’s work covers enquiries and transactions across phone and live chat. The planning roles involve helping customers navigate Development Coordination Authority services and connecting them with technical specialists.

For people who have helped organisations change systems, the Business Analyst and Senior Digital Change Officer ads deserve a closer look. Transport needs detailed analysis across systems and integrations, while Education’s change roles concentrate on readiness and adoption among early learning providers and stakeholders. Your examples should show the part of that work you personally handled.

The field-based options have specific entry requirements. Homes NSW’s Asset Performance Officers need building and inspection experience, a NSW driver licence and a White Card. The threatened-species project roles call for conservation experience and spatial data skills. Read those conditions before treating a familiar title or attractive salary as enough reason to apply.

What to highlight

Show how you adapted training to learners’ needs and checked whether it changed practice. Connect your example to DFSV knowledge and the realities of delivering across operational locations.

Make your examples useful to the panel

Multiple vacancies give you several positions to consider within an advertised recruitment process. The application still needs to show how your experience fits the work. Check which location and employment arrangement you are applying for, particularly where the same ad includes ongoing and temporary appointments.

For the customer-service roles, a line such as “I handled complex enquiries” leaves the panel with little to assess. Choose a real enquiry that required judgment and explain what made it difficult. Show how you checked the information, involved the right specialist and kept the customer informed, then describe the outcome you can substantiate. Use that same level of detail when writing about a change project or an investigation, keeping confidential information out of your application.

Application effort varies across this list. Education’s digital change ad has two 300-word pre-screening answers alongside a cover letter and resume. The EPA asks you to include a response of up to 250 words within its two-page cover letter. Open the guide for your chosen role before drafting so each answer fits the employer’s format.

Choose the role before writing the application

Start with the work you can support with strong examples, then check the appointment length and location. A six-month assignment with Homes NSW is a different commitment from an ongoing training role that involves travel across districts. The individual application checklists below help you organise the required documents and identify evidence to draw from your own experience.
