Stakeholder, communication and relationship management Explain how you understood different needs, handled concerns and involved stakeholders in decisions or preparation.

Example application structure for Senior Digital Change Officer

Prepare a cover letter that introduces your fit and separate answers that explain your change delivery in detail. The limits are two pages for the letter and 300 words for each pre-screening answer. The tables below show how to distribute your evidence across those components.

Cover letter section What to include
Opening Introduce your digital change background and interest in supporting early childhood outcomes.
Relevant change practice Summarise the scale and nature of your change work, including the audiences and program teams you supported.
Judgement and collaboration Use a concise example of prioritising a readiness issue, adapting your approach and working with others to resolve it.
Education commitments Explain your understanding of public education and the Department’s Aboriginal Education Policy and NSW AECG Partnership Agreement.
Eligibility and close Confirm your qualification or experience pathway, paid-employment WWCC and work rights, then connect your contribution to practical adoption outcomes.

Responses to pre-screening questions

Give each answer a clear beginning, an account of your actions and an outcome. Keep background brief enough to explain your decisions within 300 words. Where the same program informs both answers, give each response a distinct emphasis and include all information needed to assess it independently.

Pre-screening question What a strong response would include
Provide an example of a time you worked with diverse stakeholders to support the implementation of a new process, system or program change. Outline the context, your role, the actions you took, and how your work contributed to effective adoption outcomes. (max. 300 words) Name the stakeholder groups and their differing needs. Explain your engagement, how you responded to concerns and the evidence that people adopted the change.
Describe your experience delivering change management activities for a digital or transformation program. Outline your role in stakeholder engagement, communications, training, readiness or adoption activities, and the outcomes achieved. (max. 300 words) Describe your delivery responsibilities and the activities you selected. Connect communications, training or readiness work to a specific adoption outcome and explain how you assessed progress.

  • Your personal responsibilities within the program team.
  • Different stakeholder needs and how they shaped your approach.
  • Guidance or training that made a digital change usable.
  • Evidence of readiness, uptake or improved confidence.
  • Reflection on what you adapted and why.
