Weekly Shortlist: Your New Year can start here

January is traditionally a quiet period for iWorkForNSW and other state job boards. At the time of writing there are only around 1,500 positions advertised across New South Wales — a far cry from the 2,000–3,000+ jobs you see once decision‑makers return from holidays after Australia Day. At Team 3Thirty, we had planned to break over this period, but the current crop of roles is too interesting to ignore. There are several entry‑level talent pools and job ads with multiple positions where you can start your government career with no prior experience. Some roles are ongoing, others are temporary or form part of a talent pool, and together they span recruitment, administration, compliance, media production and learning & development.

We’ve summarised each opportunity below and called out exactly what you need to submit. If you need help tailoring your responses, our Write it for me service has you covered. Take a break from spending hours on your application, and we can sort out your cover letters, targeted question responses and STAR examples that match the exact requirements for your role.
