Weekly Shortlist: Major Recruitment Drive in NSW Police Civilian Roles

We’ve had heaps of interest in our New Year New Job offer, which is closing soon—see the end for the latest update.

The NSW Police Force has quietly launched a bunch of new vacancies to kick off 2026. These jobs are not front‑line policing roles; instead you’ll be supporting officers in uniform through communications, vetting, payroll and information management. The NSW Police Force is a mature and highly regarded agency where you’ll quickly develop transferable skills across the public sector. These roles are a launch pad to a successful career in government.

We’ve bundled the communications officer openings together because there are 37 full‑time vacancies across Sydney, Tamworth and Newcastle. Beyond the police, we’ve also included roles with NSW Trustee & Guardian, National Parks and Wildlife Service and specialist senior positions spanning communications, business analysis and agile coaching.

If you’re new to government recruitment, explore our resources on writing a cover letter for government jobs, understanding the NSW public sector process and how talent pools work.
