Current NSW Government Data, Analytics and Insight Jobs

In this guide

Last updated: 20 October 2026

Two current opportunities connect data analysis with practical service improvement. Building Commission NSW needs a Senior Business Data Analyst for a Salesforce migration, while the Personal Injury Commission needs a Business Performance Analyst to turn operational data into useful reporting and insight.

Choose the role that matches your strongest evidence. The migration role focuses on data quality, mapping, testing and reconciliation. The performance role calls for Tableau experience, clear analysis and the ability to bring a service issue to the attention of people who can act.

This shortlist was checked on 20 October 2026. The Senior Business Data Analyst closes on 21 October, so check its document limits and deadline promptly. Each role below links to its application guide and official advertisement.

Choose the role that fits your evidence

Compare the decision each role supports and the level of technical depth required. Engineering and data-science roles need evidence of robust methods and scalable delivery; analyst and reporting roles need defensible interpretation, quality controls and useful communication.

Build evidence the panel can assess

Describe the question, dataset, method and quality checks before explaining the result. Make clear who used the work, how you communicated limitations and what changed in a policy, program, operational or assurance decision.
