Helping someone use a public service, coordinating a project or supporting a health team can draw on experience gained in several sectors. Penrith is worth exploring if those activities interest you and a local work option would suit your week. The advertisements we reviewed included health, client services, development and other service-delivery work. Following several employers gives you more ways to find a role with responsibilities you recognise.
From 1 July to 30 September 2026, Team 3Thirty's I Work for NSW records captured 71 ads offering a Penrith workplace or office option. That was 0.4% of the 18,867 NSW ads captured across the same period. These historical ads include roles that have since closed. Use the pattern to guide your search, then check a current advertisement before preparing an application.
Employers to explore
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District was the largest employer group in the Penrith snapshot. Communities and Justice offered another direction for client-service and related work, while Bradfield Development Authority brought development and project responsibilities into the mix. The employer name helps you locate a vacancy; the duties tell you whether the work fits.
| Employer or business unit | Ads |
|---|---|
| Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District | 37 |
| Department of Communities and Justice | 11 |
| Bradfield Development Authority | 9 |
| Local Land Services Agency | 4 |
| Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions | 3 |
| TAFE NSW | 2 |
A health employer can advertise both clinical and support functions. Clinical work may require registration and specialist experience, while support roles can call for service coordination, records and administration. Likewise, a development agency can need more than one kind of project expertise. Read the responsibilities and essential requirements to decide where your experience fits.
Connect your experience with related titles
If you have managed enquiries or helped people through a complicated process, try client-service and service-officer searches. If you enjoy keeping information organised and making work move, administration, support and project titles may offer useful comparisons. The historical titles below show several directions to explore. They do not establish that every role in a group has the same requirements.
| Words appearing in job titles | Ads |
|---|---|
| Administration, support or service officer | 11 |
| Nurse, nursing, midwife or midwifery | 9 |
| Legal, solicitor, court or casework | 8 |
| Project, program or portfolio | 6 |
| Psychology and allied health terms | 4 |
Courts, legal work and casework are distinct pathways. Some roles require professional qualifications; others focus on supporting a service or working with clients. A good application explains what you personally did in a relevant situation and how you exercised judgement. The government resume-skills guide can help you make that connection without relying on a list of general strengths.
Check the actual Penrith work option
A wider Western Sydney location label can contain a Penrith office option. Conversely, an advertisement can mention Penrith when describing a catchment, a network or travel from a different base. Check the normal workplace, available office choices and any required attendance with the employer. Imagine the commute and travel in a typical working week.
Keep Kingswood and other nearby suburbs visible as separate choices. They may suit you well, but a nearby hospital, school or regional service does not automatically make every associated role a Penrith job. A broader personal search can include both Penrith and neighbouring workplaces. The figures here use an explicit Penrith work option.
Build a shortlist around evidence
Start with a few current roles that connect with work you have already done. Compare their requirements, employment terms, workplace arrangements and salary wording. Then identify the examples that show you can handle their most important responsibilities. A role that sounds interesting but needs several unverified qualifications belongs on a different list from one you can support with strong evidence now.
Search I Work for NSW and NSW Health recruitment for current state vacancies. Council and APS Jobs listings are separate ways to expand the search. Once you select a vacancy, use its application instructions alongside the government cover-letter examples guide.
Should I search only the Penrith location filter?
It is a useful starting point, but descriptions can reveal a Penrith office option under a broader label. Check the description and the normal workplace before adding a role to your shortlist.
Are the 71 ads current vacancies?
They are historical advertisements captured during July–September. Some have closed and some offered multiple offices or talent pools. Current official listings establish what is available now.

We used Team 3Thirty's captured I Work for NSW records for 1 July to 30 September 2026. Penrith counts when an ad offered it as a normal workplace or office option; nearby suburbs are separate. The figures count distinct ads, which can offer several vacancies or offices; historical coverage is limited to captured records. Council and APS jobs have separate listings. Role groups use words in titles and can overlap.
