We’ve had a really great start to 2026. We’ve started landing a lot of people interviews, which is exactly what we want to see.

Our mission has always been to help people land government jobs that they would be great at.

We’ve always done that in a few ways:

  • Free resources on our website
  • Free training
  • Ongoing support through The Shortlist

Over the last couple of months, demand for our services has increased quite a bit.

That’s a good thing, but it has meant we’ve had less time to provide free assistance. There have been fewer blog posts, fewer guides, and a number of free downloads we’ve wanted to release that we just haven’t had time to finish.

At the same time, we’ve been heavily focused on supporting paid members with their applications and interviews, and that’s been working really well.

What we want to do now is get back to a better balance, while also improving the experience and results for our members.

For our paid members, we want to significantly improve the level of support we provide.

We’re investing in new online portals that will:

  • Increase our capacity to write better applications
  • Allow you to track your applications in one place
  • Give visibility before submission and after, including interviews and progress

We’re also building more capacity across the team.

What we’ve found is that when we give ourselves more room to really shape and frame applications, we get much better results. So we’re adjusting our workflow to allow for that.

We’re improving how we collect and manage STAR examples from members, and how we continue to refine those over time.

And we’re improving communication.

We already offer unlimited email support, but we want it to be:

  • More responsive
  • More proactive
  • More useful, by sharing the best questions and answers across members

So everyone benefits from what we’re learning.

In order to do all of this, we need to make a couple of changes.

1. Dream Job Application Package

Previously known as “Write It For Me”

  • Now $399 (previously $199)
  • Now includes a professional government CV
  • Fully done-for-you application for one role

The price has increased, but so has the value. You can order this anytime here. In April, this will be the only paid service available for non-members.

2. The Shortlist Plan Is Closing

This is our ultra-popular and effective membership. The Shortlist has been:

  • $299 per month for 3 applications

It’s been an incredible offer, and we’ve helped a lot of people through it.

But we need to rethink how we deliver ongoing support so we can focus on better results and spend more time per member.

So, we are closing this plan as it exists currently.

  • From 1 April, it will be closed to any new members.
  • We can take 5 more people on this plan. It will close when those spots are filled, or at the latest on March 31

If you join before it closes:

  • You lock in $299/month
  • You keep that pricing for as long as you stay a member

Existing members, we’ve got you (see below).

For Existing Members

Nothing changes for you.

You can continue on your current plan for as long as you need support.

You keep your pricing and inclusions.

A number of you have interviews this week, and we’re supporting you as much as possible through that process.

Given the interview pace, I fully expect that some, if not all, of you will transition out of the Shortlist and into government roles, which is very exciting.

As we build and improve everything behind the scenes, those improvements are also being applied to existing members.

Your dashboards will improve. The systems will improve. The overall support will improve.

What’s Coming Next

We’ll be relaunching new ongoing support options around May.

They’ll be different and designed around better results and better support.

We’ll share more on that soon.

Final Thought

This is all about improving results and building something that works better for everyone.

Better outcomes for members.
Better support.
And getting back to a better balance with the free resources we want to provide as well.

Thanks for being part of it.
